“This was the most productive workshop I’ve ever taken. The feedback from the instructor [Reif Larsen] and fellow participants gave me a new perspective on my work in progress and the motivation to keep writing.”

-Susan Blood, 24PearlStreet student

Upcoming Workshops and Events

Books That Matter is a new series of virtual events with beloved members of our faculty talking about the books that have changed their lives. The series kicks off on Wednesday, April 24th with a talk by Alexander Chee, titled, “On Maurice, E. M. Forster’s Posthumous Gay Novel”, and then continues every two weeks with talks by Nick Flynn, Victoria Redel, and Eileen Myles. Tickets for the events go on sale soon. We hope to see you there!”

FAWC Scholar Awards

Scholarship opportunities are integral to our commitment to making 24PearlStreet as welcoming, accessible, and inclusive as possible. We were so proud to collaborate with the Institute of American Indian Arts this past fall—providing three FAWC Scholar Awards, worth $600 each, for Indigenous American writers to take online creative writing workshops at 24PearlStreet. Other scholarship partners include Cave Canem, Kundiman, and our newest scholarship partner, Zoeglossia.
