“I am a working woman, who cannot always find time to attend an in-person writing class. Besides, as a poet based in another country, an online workshop allows me to undertake a virtual literary travel experience.”

-Nandini Dahr, Poet and 24PearlStreet Student

Registration is open for new writing workshops!

We are thrilled to share our upcoming writing workshops designed to inspire and elevate your writing skills to new heights. If you register before October 2nd, use code FALL23EARLY to get 15% off your registration.

About Our Workshops

In our online workshops, you can join an inspiring community of artists to improve your skills in various writing genres, including poetry, memoir, fiction, young adult, playwriting, and graphic novels.

Our online workshops are taught by renowned authors such as Carmen Maria Machado, Melissa Febos, Nick Flynn, and John Murillo, who will assist you in achieving your creative goals.

We offer various workshop formats to fit all writers’ needs, including live Zoom 2-hour or 3-hour “Sprints,” 1-week live or asynchronous workshops, and 4 and 8-week asynchronous workshops.

24PearlStreet is FAWC’s online home for writers.

At 24PearlStreet, you can find online workshops, events, resources, and community. 24PearlStreet provides everything you need to work on your craft and connect with other writers, wherever you are, year-round.

FAWC Scholar Awards. Scholarship opportunities are integral to our commitment to making 24PearlStreet as welcoming, accessible, and inclusive as possible. We are so proud to be collaborating with the Institute of American Indian Arts—providing ten FAWC Scholar Awards, worth $600 each, for Indigenous American writers to take online creative writing workshops at 24PearlStreet.

Events and Community. 24PearlStreet is more than just workshops. We are creating free events and other opportunities for writers to celebrate their art and work on their craft. Hear our talented and inspiring writing faculty read from their work at Wilder Words, which will take place online on Thursday, September 21st at 6 PM EST.

24PearlStreet’s High School Initiative. We are proud to partner with Boston Public Libraries and 826Boston to provide workshop opportunities for high school students every Summer. Not only are the workshops free, but we pay a stipend to participating students.
