FACILITIES AVAILABLE TO FELLOWS

All fellows are given modestly furnished apartments.  Each unit has a private bathroom and a kitchen with a range, refrigerator, and basic kitchenware such as coffeemaker, pots/pans, and dishes. Each unit also has a full-size bed, dining table with chairs, and sofa.  In addition, Visual Arts Fellows are provided with separate working studios approximately 400 square feet. Please note, our apartments come in an assortment of shapes and sizes and are housed in several different buildings across the compound.  We will do our best to give writers apartments with a separate room to work, but we can’t guarantee it.  Additionally, FAWC facilities include the newly renovated Stanley Kunitz Common Room with outdoor deck, Hudson D. Walker Gallery plus a bookstore, Michael Mazur print shop, a media lab, a fellows lounge with computer stations, a small library and access to the Building and Grounds woodshop. The Stanley Kunitz Common Room is handicapped accessible, as are two living spaces and several working studios. Most recently, we have added an ADA compliant lift for second floor access.
