Why does this story matter? Why do I keep telling it? Why am I like this? Memoir doesn’t demand you answer these questions but that you explore them tirelessly. In a confidential environment, with shared readings and generative prompts, we investigate the questions and create new terrain for you to follow as you work on memoir. This is a rigorous workshop. Expect to read your fellow writers’ works and short selections from such memoirists as Tove Ditlevsen Annie Ernaux, Kelle Groom, and Scholastique Mukasonga.

Please send a sample of your writing of no more than 1200 words to susanna.sonnenberg@gmail.com by June 28.
