The Province Lands are an inexhaustible source of inspiration. This workshop is a retreat to observe, draw, and write along the trails of Provincetown using observational drawing methods and prompts of Henry David Thoreau and others. Drawing methods will be suitable for beginners to advanced, including pen, pencil, ink and brush, basic watercolor, combining word and image on sketchbook pages. The sketchbook is a way of seeing landscapes, fresh with your own eyes, as an observer in a singular moment in geography and time. The result is an experience translated into your own particular sensory map.

We’ll carpool or walk to a new site each day to include dunes, forest, and beach.
