Calling all LGBTQIA+ young people ages 12-24!
What is something you must tell the world? What’s it like growing up queer on the Cape in 2024? What is your vision of a perfect future for LGBTQIA+ people on Cape Cod and beyond?
Tell your story with I’m Feeling Queer Today (IFQT), a podcast made by and for queer young people. In this season, we are dedicating each episode to a different city around the country and asking the question, “What is it like to be a queer person where you live?” Be part of our episode dedicated to LGBTQIA+ life on the Cape!
From July 7th-July 12th, the IFQT team will be headquartered at The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Meet us there or we’ll come to wherever you are for an interview.
If you are interested in telling your story and/or being a part of the production team for this episode, email emma@thefutureperfectproject.

“I’m Feeling Queer Today” is a production of The Future Perfect Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to amplifying the voices of LGBTQIA+ youth through the arts.
What Is “Queer”? The Future Perfect Project uses the word “Queer” as an umbrella term for the LGBTQIA+ alphabet, which includes anyone who feels marginalized due to their expression or the repression of their gender and sexual identities.
As queer author, bell hooks, describes it: “…’Queer’ as being about the self that is at odds with everything around it and that has to invent and create and find a place to speak and to thrive and to live.”
There will be no on-site housing available to participants in this workshop if they come to FAWC. Transportation will be provided as needed.
Bring a computer and/or a smartphone.
Biography
The Future Perfect Project envisions a world where every young person feels safe, seen, and celebrated in their home and community. We believe the self-expression of LGBTQIA+ youth is a declaration of a better future for us all. We amplify in three ways: facilitating spaces and artistic opportunities (online and in-person) where queer youth create honest work, utilizing our resources to produce the work they create, and broadcasting it to a wider audience. To amplify queer young voices, we produce and facilitate creative workshops, media projects, and live performances of original work created by and about the current generation of LGBTQIA+ youth.
