Mark Conway What You’re Willing to Discover August 14 to August 19, 2022 Tuition: $800.00 Workshop: 9 AM - 12 PM Discipline: Poetry OPEN TO ALL On-site Housing NOT Available - Off-site Housing Options

Yusef Komunyakaa said, “Don’t write what you know. Write what you are willing to discover.” In this poetry workshop we’ll concentrate on the deep, difficult-to-reach poem, writing that relies on intuition and half-glimpsed inner visions, our truest take on the world. Emphasis will be on challenging habits of mind rather than polishing existing poems. While we’ll generate new work, bring current work as well—the writing that most attracts you but also resists completion.

Participants should bring 10 pages of work they wish to revisit.
