Accessibility and Affordability
- In 2026 we’re instituting an early registration system, aimed at making it easier for students from communities historically underserved by FAWC to get spots in workshops that typically fill up very quickly.
- We have a tiered tuition system, which provides tuition levels to fit most budgets. To learn more about our tiered tuition system, please click here.
- We have a robust scholarship program that in 2025 enabled 25% of our students to attend without paying tuition. To learn more about our scholarship program and apply, please click here.
- We are also setting aside a number of scholarship spots for Indigenous artists and writers.
- Starting in 2026, we’re joining the Mass. Cultural Council’s ‘Card to Culture’ program, which provides a 50% discount to our workshops for EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare cardholders. To learn more about our Card to Culture program, please click here.
We continue to invest in capital improvements in order to make our facilities more accessible, including a lift for access to our 2nd floor spaces, the addition of an ADA compliant kitchen in our community lounge; centrally located public spaces with a navigable courtyard; ramps from the parking lot; updated HVAC for improved air quality and reduced noise; and acoustic treatment, Bluetooth-enabled listening assistance, and flexible seating in our presentation space.
Our goal is to respond to suggestions for improvement in a responsive and timely manner and provide the highest level of service to all our residents and guests. We welcome and appreciate your feedback. Our Accessibility Coordinator is Susan Blood, who can be reached at 508-487-9960 ext. 106.
