The Fine Arts Work Center is committed to increasing access to our 24PearlStreet online writing workshops for young people, low-income people, and individuals from BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQ+, and other historically underserved communities.

We proudly offer our scholarships in partnership with various nonprofits serving writers from historically marginalized communitiesincluding Cave Canem, the Institute for American Indian ArtsKundiman, Zoeglossia, and Lambda Literary.

Winter 2025 Scholarships

Partner Organization Scholar Awards

For our winter workshops, we are excited to partner with Kundiman to offer seven FAWC Scholar Awards worth $600 each to Asian American writers to take online creative writing workshops at 24PearlStreet.

Interested, qualifying writers may submit one application.

In the body of the email, please include:

  • A list of your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice for a Winter 2025 workshop;
  • A paragraph explaining your interest in your 1st choice workshop; 
  • An attachment containing 3-5 pages of sample work in the genre of your 1st choice workshop.
