About Our Speakers

Janine Wong600

 

Janine Wong is an artist, architect, and graphic designer who taught design and book arts at The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She makes artist books and prints often in collaboration with scholars and scientists. Her most recent projects include artist books in collaboration with MIT scientists working out of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute researching plankton blooms and deep ocean currents. She exhibits her work nationally, and her work is included in several public institutions including the Yale University Art Gallery, the Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art at The University of Richmond, and in special collection libraries at Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, Oberlin College, Bowdoin College, and The University of California Santa Barbara.

Mira Jacob is the author of the critically acclaimed novel The Sleepwalker’s Guide to Dancing and the graphic memoir Good Talk: A Memoir in Conversations, which was shortlisted for the National Book Critics Circle Award, longlisted for the PEN Open Book Award, named a New York Times Notable Book, as well as a best book of the year by TIME, Esquire, Publisher’s Weekly, and Library Journal. Her recent work has appeared in The New York Times Book ReviewHarper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Tin House and Electric Literature. She lives in Brooklyn.

All readings and artist talks are held in the Stanley Kunitz Common Room, unless otherwise noted. Our annual summer exhibition, Edge Condition, is on view June 6 through August 22, 2024 in our Hudson D. Walker Gallery. Both venues are located at 24 Pearl Street in Provincetown.

Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 12 PM-5 PM
The gallery is also open by appointment and during all public events

Parking is restricted to students and faculty staying on site

The Stanley Kunitz Common Room and the Hudson D. Walker Gallery are accessible facilities in compliance with ADA guidelines.
