Visiting Writer Mark Wunderlich

Mark Wunderlich is the author of four collections of poems, the most recent of which is God of Nothingness, published by Graywolf Press in 2021. His other books are The Earth Avails, which received the Rilke Prize and which was a finalist for the Kingsley Tufts Award, Voluntary Servitude, and The Anchorage, which received the Lambda Literary Award. He has published poems in The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, The Nation, The New Republic, Paris Review, Poetry and elsewhere, and his work has been widely anthologized. A 2021 Guggenheim Fellowship recipient, has has also held fellowships from the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Wallace Stegner Fellowship Program, and he was twice a fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center, where he now serves as Chair of the Writing Committee. Since 2003 he has taught writing and literature at Bennington College in Vermont, where he is the Director of the Bennington Writing Seminars graduate writing program. He lives near the village of Catskill, New York.
