With the ubiquity of photographic images in our media-saturated world, it is often challenging to stand out with images that effectively communicate and resonate with an audience. So, how do photographers create a cohesive, meaningful body of work? Setting clear goals and maintaining focus are essential. Critical thinking and objective analysis will help shape your work to ensure it achieves your desired outcomes.
In this online course, students will be guided through the process of creating a body of work via faculty-led group critiques and feedback. Whether the goal is to build a strong portfolio or to develop a specific project, participants will gain the tools necessary to critically evaluate their images and craft a more focused, impactful body of work. Support will also be provided to refine lighting, post-production, and camera skills throughout this online course.
This ONLINE course is open to all skill levels and genres of photography.
There is no specific equipment required—see below for recommended gear.
Recommended equipment:
– Camera with both manual and automatic settings
– The ability to change lenses and/or focal lengths (a zoom lens will work)
– Post-production software (Adobe Lightroom Classic is suggested)
