About the Offering

PART 1 – Saturdays, on September 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th at 10am to 12pm (Eastern)

Are you looking to take your photography to the next level using post-production software? This two-level course will help you create dynamic imagery with any camera. You will learn to correct exposure and color issues, enhance contrast and vibrancy, determine appropriate resolutions for various outcomes, and more. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to incorporate their unique creative vision into their images.

PART 1 begins in Adobe Lightroom, where you will learn to organize your photographs, apply global adjustments, and export files for editing in Adobe Photoshop. Once in Photoshop, we will cover adjustment layers to make nuanced corrections and creative edits, with a strong emphasis on non-destructive editing techniques.

PART 2 delves deeper into advanced editing tools in Photoshop. You will learn to make selective edits using layer masking and basic compositing. We will also cover creating “actions” for repetitive processes, interpreting histograms and their associated data, and performing basic color grading. You may register for PART 2 here.
