It’s a bittersweet time of year on Pearl Street as we enter the final days of the Fellowship season. While the Fellows leave Provincetown, they will carry this experience with them, as writer Jhumpa Lahiri so eloquently reminded us in a Spring 2024 profile entitled The Art of Fiction in The Paris Review. During the interview, she reflects on her own fellowship, sharing “I felt completely at home in Provincetown, on that tiny strip of land so remote that it almost felt like a country of its own.”
