To Move A Mountain: A Landmark Exhibition by Fine Arts Work Center Visual Arts Fellows

Provincetown, MA – The Fine Arts Work Center (FAWC) is pleased to announce To Move A Mountain, the 2025 summer exhibition curated by acclaimed painter and two-time FAWC Visual Arts Fellow Coady Brown. Presented first at the Work Center’s Hudson D. Walker Gallery in Provincetown and later at The Armory Show in New York City, the exhibition brings together ten Fellows whose practices reflect urgent and imaginative engagements with the natural world.
Exploring nature as symbol, subject, and site, To Move A Mountain offers a timely meditation on our precarious relationship to the environment. As Brown notes, “As artists, we metabolize the natural world through personal and cultural experiences. Each work in To Move A Mountain investigates our precarious symbiosis with nature… whether as a symbol of beauty, a battleground for power, or a container of grief and fantasy.”
