The 2021 Summer Projects Residency Program is a great opportunity to safely escape the confined routines imposed by Covid-19 and re-energize your artistic pursuits. As our beloved Summer Workshops Program moves to a vitural platform for 2021, we are opening our on-site apartments for individual residencies, both writing and visual arts. Residencies are offered for a minimum two-week stay, with longer stays available at two-week intervals. Visual artists have the option to rent separate and private studio space. Covid-safe protocols will be followed, allowing you to focus on your creative projects. Note: As part of the registration process, you will be asked to submit a brief 1-2 paragraph description of the writing or visual arts project you will work on while in residency.

We are excited to annnounce renovations have begun on the Kunitz Common Room and courtyard, which includes the addition of a bookshop and gallery as part of the Common Room and the addition of decking to the courtyard. Although major structural renovations will be completed by the end of June, some interior finishing work will be ongoing throughout the summer. As a result, there may be some general construction noise during work hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.

The Work Center has two on-site accessible parking spots available for residents with a state-issued disability placard. If you have a state-issued disability placard and require on-site accessible parking spot, please let us know. Otherwise, on-site parking is not available during the Residency. You may park on-site to unload and reload and will then need to secure off-site parking.
