Our Commitment to Access
Last year, we proudly provided full tuition scholarships to 25% of our students—130 artists and writers. This included:
- Local Cape Cod creators (50% of recipients)
- National participants who also received housing and travel support
The Fine Arts Work Center is committed to awarding scholarships to increase access to our summer workshops, with a special focus on engaging young people, people with low incomes, and individuals from BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQIA+, and other communities historically underserved by FAWC.
Our scholarship program is flourishing because of ongoing support from our philanthropic community. Thanks to the generosity of donors, businesses, and government agencies, we expanded our efforts last summer and plan to do so again in 2026.
Learn more about our Access Fund, which supports our scholarship efforts.
Important
Do not register for a workshop before applying for a scholarship. We reserve space in each workshop for scholarship recipients. If you receive an award, we will work with you to secure your spot in one of your top workshop choices.
