Our 24PearlStreet online writing program provides students with the opportunity to work on their craft wherever they are, year-round. Our virtual model combines convenience with the opportunity to work with prize-winning, esteemed faculty. Come create your best work alongside an inspiring community of artists.

Welcome to Winter 2023
Enjoy an 8-week workshop, with Tupelo Press editor Kristina Marie Darling, on publishing your poetry manuscript. Take 1 or 4-week workshops with beloved returning faculty Dorianne Laux, Curtis Bauer, and Erika Wurth; or, with wonderful new faculty Ananda Lima and Dorothea Lasky.
Scholarships for Asian American Writers
In partnership with Kundiman, an organization dedicated to nurturing generations of writers and readers of Asian American literature, 24PearlStreet has allocated 7 scholarships, worth $600 each, for Asian American writers to attend any Winter session workshop in 2023. The application deadline has passed and awardees will be announced soon.
Workshop Format
24PearlStreet features virtual workshops offered in asynchronous, live, or sprint formats.
Asynchronous Workshops
Asynchronous workshops allow you to participate according to your own schedule. Choose between 1, 4, or 8-week workshops where you can develop new work, revise current projects, receive peer feedback, and receive expert feedback in our virtual classroom. Students may choose between workshops in poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and multi-genre writing.
Live Workshops
In this format, you will meet at a regularly scheduled time online. You can interact live with your instructor and classmates to develop new work, revise current projects, receive peer feedback, and expert feedback. Students may choose between workshops in poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and multi-genre writing.
Sprint Workshops
Enter a brief, fast-paced, generative environment that will move you closer to your writing goals. Workshops are three hours long and focus on a single aspect of writing or the writing life.
